Why did you decide to start TEScosmetics?

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, I went through treatment and had to have a double mastectomy. After fighting cancer, I wanted to create an all-natural line of skincare that is toxin-free. As a doctor, I understand very well how what we put ON our bodies affects what happens IN our bodies. Everything we put on our bodies can be absorbed by our blood stream and affect our health. So I created something that I knew would be safe for me, for my family, for my friends. And I want to share it with as many people as possible, because I know the CBD oil can reduce inflammation, and help nourish and hydrate our skin in wonderful ways.

How long did you spend in development?

Eight years – I worked with a team of scientists to make sure I had the best mix of ingredients.

When was the first time you used CBD oil?

About a year ago, and I was immediately impressed with the results! My skin felt amazing – silky smooth. And it felt healthier too – so I started to research the benefits and realized it was full of vitamins and omegas, and I knew I wanted to add it to my organic skincare line.

What kind of doctor are you?

I am an internist, and have been practicing in New York for the last 31 years.

Is the product safe for all skin types?

Yes! We spent eight years developing TES, and ran multiple tests with X # of people, and we did not see any adverse affects

What are the benefits of CBD oil?

The omegas and vitamins D and E in it helps people with dry skin, and the X in it helps those with oily or combination skin. CBD oil has also been linked in studies to helping people living with eczema.

Do I need to have a prescription to get TEScosmetics?

No, you do not need a prescription. Authentic CBD oil is safe, and legal in all 50 states.

How can people order TEScosmetics?

Online at TEScosmetics.com, though we do plan to be in retail stores in the next year.

Are you in any talking with any retailers about this now?

We have had some initial talks with major retailers that have been very exciting, but that’s all we can say right now.

Which products are currently available?

We currently offer our everyface scrub, everyday serum, and everybody cream, which is a lightweight moisturizer – all made of premium organic ingredients and full-spectrum CBD oil.

What plans do you have for future products?

In 2019, we plan to launch lip and eye products infused with CBD oil as well.

What does the future of CBD oil look like?

It’s ripe with possibilities! It’s set to be a $22 billion industry, according to Brightfield Group. The great thing is, we are seeing politicians from all states fighting to educate the public on the value of growing cannabis and hemp – and this is really a nonpartisan issues. The consumers have already spoken – demand is high. And now with CBD oil legal in all 50 states, the government has spoken, and the market is primed to boom in the next five years. This is going to have a huge, positive effect on Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and pharmacy products.

What are the benefits of CBD oil?

Full-spectrum organic hemp-derived CBD oil is rich with Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins D and E, which have been associated with nourishing and protecting all skin types. You have to make sure that the products you use have *authentic* CBD oil in it though, and make sure you.

Your products are on the expensive side – why?
  • First, our products are not just for beauty or for health - they’re for both health AND beauty. Some products do a good job of adding a glow to your skin, or smoothing out wrinkles – but you can’t pronounce half the ingredients in them. And other products have healthy, simple ingredients but don’t offer great beauty effects. But with TEScosmetics, you get it all - you’re getting health AND beauty benefits.
  • Second, when you buy any product with authentic CBD oil, you are paying for the process of distilling the oil – which involves multiple steps of filtration and cleansing before it is ready to be used on the skin. Authentic CBD oil will not be sold cheaply at this point – if you find an inexpensive CBD oil product, I would be wary of it, and ask the manufacturer how it is made, and how much CBD oil is actually in it.
  • As the CBD oil industry matures, I believe the processes will become more streamlined, and I hope we will be able to offer more products at lower price points in the future.
How much CBD oil is in your product?

Each product contains 50 milligrams of authentic CBD oil.

Where does your CBD oil come from?

Our CBD oil comes directly from Colorado, where growers are regulated under the Department of Agriculture.

What makes TEScosmetics different than other skincare lines?

This is the only line of CBD oil skincare products designed by a medical doctor. Also, we are using completely organic ingredients, and our full-range CBD oil comes from Colorado, where the Department of Agriculture monitors all growing of cannabis. Also, we are proud to say TEScosmetics skincare products have never been tested on animals, and never will be.

Could I fail a drug test if I use this product?

No. TEScosmetics do not contain THC, which is the chemical that creates the ‘high’ associated with marijuana. We use pure CBD oil, which is legal in all 50 states, and is associated with a reduction in pain and inflammation, as well as healthier skin because of the omega fatty acids and vitamins in it.

Why is it so important to take good care of our skin?

More than 2000 people die from skin cancer every year, and more than 3 million are diagnosed with skin cancer each year, according to the American Cancer Society – thankfully the number of deaths is dropping, as we are more aware now than ever before about how sunlight, tanning, pollution and toxins take a toll on our skin health. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, and does an amazing job of filtering out toxins. But we have to take responsibility for the burden we put on our skin, and try to put healthy, organic materials on it as much as possible.
